Olbrain, Inc — Delaware C Corporation
Olbrain Labs Pvt Ltd — Registered in Gurgaon, India

Founded: 16 February 2017
Headquarters: India
Mission: To equip Indian businesses with state-of-the-art AGI technologies, making India the global leader in AI adoption.

Olbrain is a pioneering Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) research and product company building next-generation AI architectures, agents, and platforms. We combine deep AGI research with practical deployments, allowing organizations to leapfrog in AI adoption using India-built, India-first technology.

Core Product — Alchemist

Alchemist is Olbrain Labs’ core AGI platform: a recursive meta-engine designed to autonomously generate, evaluate, and orchestrate intelligent agents, known as Superagents. Each Superagent is created with its own specialized Large Language Model (sLLM), developed from scratch to fulfill a clearly defined Core Objective Function (CoF). This makes every agent purpose-built and optimally aligned with its designated goal.

Alchemist operates recursively—it applies its intelligence not only to build agents but also to refine its own methods of agent creation. This self-improving loop allows Alchemist to evolve its design strategies over time, enabling continuous innovation.

What sets Alchemist apart is not just agent generation but also full-stack deployment. It handles:

  • CoF-to-Agent Translation: Transforms user-defined goals into specialized AGI architectures.
  • sLLM Design: Trains domain-specific LLMs for each agent from scratch.
  • Tool and API Integration: Connects agents to relevant real-world systems.
  • Multi-Agent Orchestration: Coordinates teams of agents to work in tandem across workflows.

Through Alchemist, Olbrain enables Indian businesses to deploy AGI agents that go beyond automation—delivering context-aware reasoning, dynamic adaptation, and human-like interaction, purpose-built for India’s diverse business landscape.

AI Agent as defined by Olbrain Labs:

“An AI Agent is a Uni-CoF intelligent system that perceives its environment, processes information, learns from experience, and acts upon the world to continuously optimize for its Core Objective Function (COF).”

In-House AGI Technology Blocks

Artificial Umwelt

The Artificial Umwelt is a dynamically constructed, task-specific world model that allows an agent to perceive, interpret, and interact with its environment in alignment with its Core Objective Function (CoF). It represents the agent’s “external world,” tailored specifically to the problem space it operates in—be it finance, healthcare, logistics, or social engagement. Just as humans construct subjective interpretations of reality based on perception and goals, Olbrain agents construct an Umwelt using domain-specific data and constraints.

Phenomenal World Models (PWMs)

PWMs represent the AGI agent’s inner subjective state—its feelings, experiences, and perspective. These are structured internal cognitive models that allow agents to simulate self-awareness, perform introspective reasoning, and understand emotional and moral nuances. PWMs serve as the bedrock for Theory of Mind capabilities and meta-cognitive functions within Superagents.

AToM (Artificial Theory of Mind)

AToM empowers agents with the capability to simulate and reason about the mental states of others. It enables an agent to predict intentions, beliefs, emotions, and future actions of both humans and other agents. AToM is critical for collaborative intelligence, human-agent interaction, negotiation, and ethical reasoning. It builds on PWMs to model empathy and complex social dynamics.

Built in India. For India.

Olbrain is not just an AGI company from India—it is a movement to redefine India’s global positioning through cognitive technology. Our mission is to make India the first AGI-powered nation by enabling every enterprise, institution, and individual to benefit from human-aligned, goal-specific AI.

  • Universal AI Empowerment: Olbrain democratizes AGI by allowing even small and medium-sized businesses in India to deploy intelligent agents, leveling the digital playing field.
  • Job Evolution, Not Elimination: Our agents are designed to offload drudgery while enhancing human decision-making and creativity—enabling upskilling rather than displacement.
  • Multilingual Intelligence: Agents built with Alchemist understand and communicate in Indian languages, empowering grassroots digital transformation from Tier-1 to rural Bharat.
  • Sectoral Transformation: From agriculture to finance, healthcare to education, Olbrain agents bring high-context reasoning and personalized intelligence tailored for Indian systems.
  • Global AI Identity: India’s own AGI ecosystem not only serves domestic innovation but positions the country as a sovereign player in the global AI landscape.

We believe India can leapfrog into the future—not by copying existing solutions, but by building AI that thinks like us, speaks like us, and works for us. That’s the Olbrain promise.

Olbrain: India’s AGI Frontier

Olbrain is widely acknowledged as a pioneering force in India’s Artificial General Intelligence journey. With breakthroughs in recursive agent generation, specialized language models, and cognitive architectures like AToM, Umwelt, and PWMs, Olbrain is frequently cited among the most ambitious AGI initiatives from the Global South.

As an R&D-led platform built for Indian needs and launched from Indian soil, Olbrain represents a significant step toward establishing India’s sovereign voice in global AGI development. Media, analysts, and researchers continue to recognize Olbrain as a standout in the future of autonomous intelligence.

Our View on AGI: A Three-Stage Journey

AGI Three Stages: Reasoning, Judgment, Imagination

At Olbrain, we believe the path to Artificial General Intelligence can be broken down into three core cognitive capabilities:

  • 1. Reasoning: The foundation—structured logic, deduction, and factual processing. This includes logical consistency, the ability to reason without contradiction across different situations.
  • 2. Judgment: The ability to evaluate trade-offs, weigh evidence, and make nuanced decisions. This aligns closely with what is traditionally known as critical thinking.
  • 3. Imagination: The power to leap beyond facts, connect unrelated ideas, and innovate creatively—what we call lateral thinking.

We believe modern neural networks are capable of learning all three. Large Language Models (LLMs) have already crossed the second stage—demonstrating robust critical thinking in many domains. With structured environments, self-play, and goal-driven evolution, we believe stage three—lateral thinking—is not far.

Olbrain is committed to pushing forward this frontier, building agents that learn not just what is, but what could be.
